Commercial and Industrial Integrated Energy Audit Program
Under contract with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Matrix ESI has been performing energy audits on PG&E's industrial and commercial customers facilities to identify no-cost, low-cost and capital-intensive energy efficiency measures since 2006. On average, Matrix ESI personnel recommended measures that would result in 750,000 kWh and 10,000 therms of annual energy savings and over $110,000 in cost savings for each facility audited.
Private Schools and Colleges Energy Audits and Retrofit Program

Under contract with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the program cycle 2010-2012, Matrix ESI is currently enrolling private schools interested in this program. After the no-obligation energy audit, we implement no-cost, low-cost HVAC and lighting measures (some measures would require a small co-pay on the part of the customer). This program has an educational component, where the students and the faculty will be provided information on energy efficiency practices.
Demand-Based Ventilation Program for Entertainment Centers (i.e., Movie Theaters, Bowling Alleys, Arcades, Museums, etc.)

Under contract with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the program cycle 2010-2012, Matrix ESI is performing the installation of a demand-based (CO2) ventilation systems for movie theaters and similar facilities that are designed to have a high minimum amount of fresh air due to high occupancy. The demand-based ventilation system would modulate the outdoor air damper to minimize heating and cooling energy when theater occupancy is low.
Retail Furniture Stores Energy Efficiency Program

Electric Company (PG&E) for the program cycle 2010-2012, Matrix ESI is reaching out to the furniture stores within PG&E service territory to enroll them into this program. After the free facility audit, no-cost/low-cost energy efficiency measures in the areas of HVAC and lighting will be provided to the customer.
Commercial Direct Install Program for Small Businesses, Restaurants and Furniture Stores

Under contract with San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) for the program cycle 2010-2012, Matrix ESI staff are providing no-cost/low-cost energy efficiency measures to the small businesses, full-service restaurants and furniture stores within SDG&E service territory. The measures offered are in the area of HVAC, lighting, and water heating. The program is marketed on a door-to-door basis and the services are delivered to the customer on the spot.
Upstream Residential High-Efficiency Water Heater Rebate and Low-Flow Showerhead Program
Under contract with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the program cycle 2010-2012, Matrix ESI pays a $10 rebate on qualifying high-efficiency gas water heaters and $20 on qualifying high-efficiency electric water heaters through participating water heater distributors in PG&E service territory. By paying incentive rebates on qualifying gas and electric water heaters, Matrix intends to eliminate the price difference between standard efficiency water heaters and high efficiency water heaters, making high efficiency water heaters the new market standard. In addition, PG&E customers are eligible to receive a free low-flow showerhead from the same participating water heater distributors.
Dry Cleaner Boiler Tune-Up Program
Under contract with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the program cycle 2010-2012, Matrix ESI performs no-cost boiler tune-up services for dry cleaners in the PG&E service territory. Enrolled participants will be provided a boiler chemical cleaning, burner inspection, air flow adjustment, and pipe insulation, all at no cost. Services performed by this program are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Multifamily Residential Boiler Controller Program
Under contract with Southern California Gas Company (SCG), Matrix ESI installs boiler controllers on multifamily residential boilers, helping multifamily housing complexes save energy by tailoring boiler usage to the actual demand for hot water. Controllers are provided and installed at no cost, and there is no continued service obligation required by the customer. Services provided by this program are also on a first-come, first-served basis.
